Why BABA is not THE 5TH

The Author is a loving husband, father and a conscientious Kenyan (and global) citizen. In 18 years of legal practice, Saitabao ole Kanchory has helped countless marginalized persons and communities in East Africa in the struggle for their lands and land rights – often purely pro bono.

Saitabao is credited with playing a major role in saving the world-famous Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem known for its spectacular annual wildebeest migration termed the Eighth Wonder of the World.

The celebrated Serengeti Case handled by Mr. Kanchory at the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) in Arusha, Tanzania (2010-2015) was a major win for conservation. It put a tiny smile on an otherwise battered Mother Nature.

A DISPUTED ELECTION

In Kenya's presidential election of August 2022, the Author served as the National Chief Agent for the Rt. Hon Raila Odinga - one of the leading presidential contenders.

Why Baba is not the 5th is a rare insider's view into why Raila Odinga, fondly known as Baba, failed to become the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya. His unexpected loss to William Ruto broke the hearts of millions and left many Kenyans gravely disappointed, dismayed and disillusioned.
